Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have any more questions? Here you will find answers on the topic regarding surface heating
Is underfloor heating NeoTer by TeraPlast - suitable for renovations?

In this scenario, NeoTer by TeraPlast underfloor heating can be installed without the need to replace or interrupt the existing radiator system. It can even be connected to the existing radiator circuit – great for new kitchens, bathroom upgrades or living spaces, with the minimum condition of a three-way thermostatic valve or mixture kit, depending on the application.

Does the underfloor heating NeoTer by TeraPlast take part in the development of green houses that can use renewable energy?

NeoTer by TeraPlast underfloor heating is about 40% more efficient than radiators, in combination with a heat pump, because it uses a much lower water temperature than what’s required by conventional radiators. Thus, we avoid high temperatures and the high consumption of natural resources – e.g. gas.

What types of flooring is NeoTer by TeraPlast compatible with?

NeoTer underfloor heating is compatible with almost any type of surfaces: tiles, laminate flooring, marble, natural stone, carpet, etc. For reasons of efficiency, cost and energy usage, we do not recommend installing a hardwood floor over the heating system, because the heat-conductivity of is lower than for other types of surfaces.

Advice from professionals
  • Do not mount pipes under the bathtub or under cabinets
  • Do not install pipes under the kitchen furniture
  • Install pipes more dense in the window area, balcony doors to compensate the higher thermal loss in those zones.
